The SETILive citizen science project was launched in 2012 as a collaboration between the SETI Institute and the Zooniverse as part of Jill Tarter's TED Prize wish. This project attracted more than 74,000 volunteers who analyzed a live data stream from the Allen Telescope Array in Hat Creek, California. Incoming radio signals were visualized using a waterfall plot, which displayed power measured across hundreds of frequency channels. Participants classified these signals as broken, continuous, or parallel types, based on their appearance. The SETILive project concluded in October 2014.
